Adult Classes 

Wear comfortable clothing in which you can move freely, and bring a water bottle. Please arrive early to sign in and get your  class equipment. Flags and silks will be provided for all classes that require them.  Please bring your own yoga/floor mat for Stretch and Hard Core Workout classes. 


Community Flag Class

Come out for this community class to learn the basics of flag spinning and get an awesome workout too! You'll learn some introductory exercises to help you understand how to guide a flag through various planes and pathways, isolate movements to specific muscle groups, and train your body with some great endurance-building routines. We may even teach you some fancy tricks too!  Great for paraders, dancers, or anyone who wants a challenging full-body workout. 

Meet us on the Great Lawn in City Park from 12noon-1:30pm on select Mondays. Current scheduled classes on Feb 19, Feb 26, March 12, March 19, March 26, April 2, April 9, April 23, April 30

No experience necessary! All are welcome! $5 suggested donation, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Your donations help us to maintain our equipment and buy new equipment for member and community use.

Flag Choreography with New Orleans Spin Club

Love flags? Miss the good ole days when you spun in high school? Want to learn to spin one? Join the New Orleans Spin Club as they meet in City Park to spin flags and practice for parades. Join our group on Facebook for the latest info on events and meet ups. Flags will be provided for all Spin Club events. You just need to bring your awesome self!

We will meet on Mondays from 12noon-1:30pm at the Great Lawn in City Park. Meet up is free for all Spin Club members, and there is a $5 suggested donation for non-members joining us on Community Class days (see dates listed above)

Stretch for Relaxation and Flexibility

Learn the "Rules of Healthy Stretching" and how to apply them in your own practice at home. This class will offer a brief floor warm-up, followed by long stretches to help you get limber and relaxed.

HardCore Workout

Rock your body right with this intense, 30min class. Join Jakki for this program designed to strengthen your entire core for stability, improved mobility, and better support of your spine! 

Class is only 30 minutes long, so we will begin on time! Please come early and bring an exercise mat if you want to use one.

Floor Werk

If you're interested in learning new dance moves that will take you onto the floor, then this class is for you! Join Jakki for some fierce choreography, some hot beats, and a good time!

Heels are optional for this class. Clothing that covers your knees is recommended (leggings, tights, dance knee pads, etc)

Silk Dancing

Get ready for some fun dance choreography paired with fabric props. Each week, we’ll explore a new style of choreography and a variety of silks, including scarves, weighted silks, and silks on small poles with handles.  Expand your repertoire, or learn new ways to add some depth to your already-flawless performance style.
